Makefile jam

  • hip backend is causing makefile to fail.
  • It was taken out for testing the mpi backend, however, the removal of it from the parser in the WorkingBranch was unintended.
  • Reverted all unintended changes resulting for merge "906c94838be61e9bb8999d85ca23c57b2599196b"

Review request

  • Kindly git checkout to commit id : "104752186f4f93cfd8ee171b8c135398b3a9a90c" and check that the makefile throws the same error. (requesting @durwasa-chakraborty and @anubhavkhajuria )
  • The error seems to stem from a resolution conflict while linkage.
